Ah, Summer! Summer is so short here in Minnesota. I relish each day of warmth and sunshine knowing that the bitter cold will soon assault us with its lengthy life.
My boys love going to the lake. They especially love Ann Lake in the Sand Dunes State Forest. The sand is light and the water is clear. I like it because it's free!
Today we hit the beach with some good friends. I had a great time soaking in the sun while chatting with a girlfriend. The kids had fun splashing in the water with friends and trying to net some fish. One of the things they like best is digging holes in the sand. Big holes. Today's hole was big enough that other children stood in it while their moms took picture of them. Having an audience made the boys extra proud of their handiwork.
Very good Laura. I am touched by your comment and happy you are starting this blog. You are doing a great job, you are very good with words. This will be fun to check in on you all and see what new adventures the boys are into. Don't see too many Laura & Mark pictures yet, better get on that. LOL
ReplyDeleteI am blogging present and trying to blog the past going backwards, crazy I know. I just want to be able to have some journal of the past for the kids. I have all the pictures stored in chronological order and had several hand written journals to look back at.
It kind of changes the way you look at scrapbooking. I like having the full story behind the photo this way.
It is also wonderful for family that is long distance, they can keep up with you.
Wish we lived closer, but blogging helps.
